Handling and Repair

When handling the raw speaker panel, hold it by the speaker magnet on the back. If you must hold the speaker panel by the edges, take care not to crush fingerprints into the face of the panel. To repair minor dents and dings in the face, fill with a water based lightweight spackle such as “Onetime” manufactured by Red Devil, Inc.

The B32 requires two standard stud spaces with studs 16” on center. The center stud must be reduced in depth by 1-1/2” and horizontal blocking must be installed top and bottom leaving a 30-1/2” square opening. This is a task that would take a professional about 5 minutes in open framing. This framing change can be accomplished before or after the wall is finished, however it is less work when the framing is open. The wall should be insulated with fiberglass bat type insulation. Minimum wall thickness is 3-1/2” inside. In a 2x4 wall, the insulation behind the woofer magnets must be removed to provide clearance.
